Before the articles, a bit about me

I'm 45. I was born in San José and lived there for my first six years — I was already at Escuela Ricardo Jiménez, in the city center, near the MUSOC bus stop toward the Southern Zone. We later moved to Pérez Zeledón, where I really grew up and where my parents, Rosa Mesén and Manuel Herrera, still live.

I'm the oldest of three brothers — Paulo Alejandro, a civil engineer, and Alan Gabriel, a nephrologist. We were always, and still are, a very close family.

Today my own family is my wife Gabriela, a general practitioner, and my son, who's 4 years and 5 months old and already in pre-K.

I studied Information Systems and Communications Engineering, but from the start I was always on the software development side of things — that's how I ended up here.
